Benjamin Francis
RojoNegro
No Man’s Art Gallery presents Benjamin Francis and RojoNegro in a duo presentation Thresholds, which unfolds as a dialogue between RojoNegro’s ritual, body-centered recoveries of ancestral knowing and Benjamin Francis’s material meditations on borders, correction and care. Each practice, in its own language, tends to transformation: RojoNegro through dreamscapes, text, organic matter, and acts of performative reembodiment; Francis through the subtle architectures of domestic and liminal form - bricks, mirrors, latex, vegetal traces.
Together, their works compose a choreography of crossing: dream-paintings and ritual gestures breathing alongside translucent reliefs and mirrored fences. These thresholds are fragile, reflective and porous. The curatorial intention is to surface the undercurrents of colonisation and normative correction, and to reimagine the booth as a living site of remaking—a place where objects remember, resist, and rehearse their futures. In this shared architecture, RojoNegro and Francis summon a sensorial politics of becoming: a poetics of ontology, memory, and the crossing of borders.
